  • No other refunds will be given at any other point during the season.
  • Unpaid fees or declined payments will be assessed a $10 late fee after a three day grace period.

FAMILY COMMITMENT

  • Every player's parent is required to work the Coon Rapids Boys Basketball Tournament in November.
  • Parents wishing to opt out of working at this tournament may pay a $150 buyout fee during registration.
  • If parents do not fulfill their family commitment to the club, they will be charged $200 after the tournament.

PLAYING UP

It is the preference of the CRCBC Board to have all athletes play with their grade level during their tenure in the CRCBC. Under no circumstances can a player play down on a younger grade. If a player and their family desire to play at an older level, they must meet the following guidelines:

  • Must petition to the CRCBC Board of Directors
  • Must try out for the older grade and be one of the top 3 players in the older grade based on that grade's tryout evaluation forms

TRYOUT ABSENCE POLICY

In order to most effectively place players on the appropriate traveling basketball team, it is necessary that all players take part in the respective traveling basketball tryouts, receive an evaluation by the evaluators, and be considered for a traveling team based on their tryout score.

Under certain circumstances approved by the CRCBC Executive Committee, (for example - injury or illness when accompanied by a doctor or school nurse note), an "excused player" may be eligible and placed on a traveling basketball team even though they were unable to participate in the respective tryouts.

In such situations, the following procedures will be followed by the CRCBC Traveling Basketball Selection Committee in an effort to place players appropriately:

 *  Excused player must have played on the top team the previous season in order to be considered for the top team for the current season.

*If they were not on the top team the previous season, an "excused player" may be eligible and placed on a lower team.

 *  CRCBC basketball coaches familiar with the excused player will be consulted to obtain perspective of the players basketball abilities compared to others at the same age / gender.

 *  Others familiar with the excused player may be consulted to obtain additional perspective when deemed necessary.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY POLICY

To participate in a CRCBC program, players must attend school in the Coon Rapids Cluster of schools:

Middle Schools:

  • Coon Rapids Middle School

Elementary Schools:

  • Adams Elementary
  • Eisenhower Elementary
  • Hamilton Elementary
  • Hoover Elementary
  • Mississippi Elementary
  • Morris Bye Elementary
  • Sand Creek Elementary
  • University Avenue Elementary

If a player resides in a district without a basketball program, players will be allowed to participate in our CRCBC program. If a player goes to school in a school not on the list above, they may fill out a "Player Transfer Form" to play for CRCBC. They must fill out the MYBA transfer form and send it in to the club they are assigned to, for permission, then to CRCBC, for permission. It must then be sent to MYBA for final approval.

Players who are home-schooled or attend private school should read the MYBA Team Composition Guidelines for these situations.

COMMITMENT POLICY

PLAYER COMMITMENT

Players must commit to the requirements of the program in which they play. This includes consistent attendance at games and practices. While there are times when a player will miss an occasional practice or game, consistent attendance and commitment is expected for all players.
